Facebook has always been cursed with scams and hoaxes. After every few days there is new hoax that goes viral on facebook. Most of user’s are aware about these scams but there are still a lot who trust them and fall pray to hackers etc. It is always advisable to use a bit of common sense while using social networking websites.

Earlier it was facebook dislike button scam and now a new facebook hoax is making rounds. You might have seen status like

So why I believe it’s Hoax After the launch of Google+ facebook has been trying its best to maintain its userbase. If facebook becomes paid then there is an excellent free alternative for people in the form of Google+.

If they really want to become paid why would they offer free membership to all those who paste this status on their wall. If you search this status in Google the only results you will get is of facebook (Wall of people who posted this status) and spam sites. There is not a single trusted website which verifies the claims of the above status.

So,there is no need to worry and create awareness by liking this post.

Neutrinos Is Faster Than Light

A multinational research team says it's found neutrinos that travel faster than the speed of light. For the Opera neutrino experiment , scientists basically shot a high-intensity, high-energy beam of muon neutrinos from the CERN SPS accelerator in Geneva toward the LNGS underground laboratory at Gran Sasso, Italy, 730 km (454 miles) away.

They measured the speed at which the neutrinos traveled.

Their findings, which CERN has described as being at odds with the established laws of nature, were so startling that the Opera team has decided to invite further scrutiny.

Top Reasons ☺ To Update Facebook Status

1 → Exciting Happenings

Facebook users update their status when something really good happens with them. It can be something like receiving their appointment letter to their new jobs or clearing their exams. It can be to share your happiness or another way to seek attention.

2 → Getting Bored

This might seem or sound bizarre but many people update their status without any rhyme or reason. They do it just to kill time. They write small things or funny things to catch people’s attention and start a conversation.

3 → Whereabouts

Many people update their status to tell their friends about their whereabouts like if they are on a holiday or going out of town for a business meeting or conference, visiting their relatives, cousins etc. When they are on holiday they describe the place they visit along with their activities.

4 → Games

Facebook has a plethora of games uploaded that are there to entertain the users. However, what bugs them is to advance in the game they need help of their friends. They send their requests over but when those do not get accepted, they update their status requesting them and telling them about their needs.

5 → Special day

Whenever there is a special day like new years, or friendship day or republic day, everybody updates their status on their walls wishing and greeting each other. Some even update the history or significance of the day.

6 → Political Issues

Whenever there is a political issue out there in the society, Facebook is flooded with status updates. People start reasoning with each other on why they support or do not support that particular issue.

Automatically Delete the Mail

Sometimes there is some private information that you might be sending to your friend. If you fear that your friend may forward (leak) it to others you can send him a self destructive email. Its content will automatically get deleted once it is read. Another great feature of this trick that you will also get notifications once your email is read.

Trick to Automatically Delete Mail Once it Got Read→

→ First of all go to website www.privnote.com.
→ In the text field type your message that you want to send to your friend.
→ After writing your message, do check mark on “Notify me when this note gets read“ box. Give your Email address and Reference Name where you want to get notify. The notifications email will be delivered in your Inbox folder or Spam folder.
→ Click on Create Note button.

→ Now a link will be generated.

→ Copy paste this link into your Email text field and send it to your friend instead of writing the text there. Now when your friend will click on this link he will read your note. Once the note is read it will automatically get destroyed. If your friend try to open that note Copy/Paste this link in again he/she will get a message saying This note was read before.

That’s it. The only limitation of this trick is this you cannot write your text directly in the mail text field but you have to paste link of the note.

Flip ur status in facebook

Flipping text is a very good utility. With this you can flip your text like if you want to update your status .

Google, Apple, Microsoft are now World's top three brands

Brand value is pretty important thing, and something that is pretty difficult to calculate, but Brand Finance, a London-based company, wants to do just that. The company uses a number of metrics including cashflow in order to put a value on a company's trademark and other intellectual property. And, according to those numbers, Apple is now the number 2 most valuable brand in the world, behind Google and just ahead of Microsoft.

To be clear, this is designer to value a company's brand, and shouldn't be confused with S&P's company valuations based on stock, which has had Apple and Exxon trading the top spot. As far as brand value though, Apple has been surging, jumping from a $19.8 billion brand valuation in 2010, to a $29.5 billion valuation in January 2011, and as of September 2011 stood at $39.3 billion. That valuation is enough to move Apple up from #7 on the list to #2, just ahead of Microsoft, which is valued at $39 billion.

Microsoft has slipped from the start of the year, when it was valued at $42.8 billion. But, even with that big jump by Apple, it wasn't enough to unseat the champion: Google. Google started out the year with a brand valuation of $44.3 billion and has continued to climb to an amazing $48.3 billion.

Of course, these numbers are in debate as you'd expect from something as tricky as valuating a brand.

A competing company, BrandZ, claimed back in May that Apple had taken over the top spot with a brand valuation of $153.3 billion compared to Google's $111.5 billion. BrandZ uses approximately 2 million customer surveys in determining its rankings, while Brand Finance just uses fiscal metrics.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7x Hands-on

Isn’t a stranger in the electronics world, but for a manufacturer known primarily for producing display panels of all types, they’re still attempting to build their reputation in the tablet market. So far, their efforts have largely been overlooked due to the lack of competitiveness offered by their selection.

Absolutely no question about it, we weren’t thrilled by ViewSonic ViewPad 7, which made it seem as though they were quick to jump on the whole tablet craze without realizing the kind of ViewSonic expectations people have nowadays.

Fortunately for all of us, the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x is rising to the occasion in building their brand name across the market. Sure it’s sporting an entire plastic casing, which does attract a ton of fingerprints, but it feels pretty slick so that it doesn’t come off as being on the cheap side. At the same time, it has this chic allure to it because of the triangular cutouts in the rear for its camera and flash– plus, there’s this holographic appearance to its rear cover.

Being a display panel manufacturer and all, we’re thrilled by the its lovely looking 7” LED display that sports a resolution of 600 x 1024. In fact, it’s detailed, vivid, high-contrast, and offers some stellar viewing angles that enables everything to look undeniably fantastic.

With the viewsonic viewpad 7, it relied on the outdated Android 2.2 Froyo experience, but of course, it’s uplifting to find Honeycomb on board this time around. And thanks to its 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, it’s able to operate at a manageable rate. Meanwhile, they’ve kept it simple by offering us the stock Honeycomb experience. There’s no official word regarding pricing at the moment for the US market, but it’s expected to become available With the ViewSonic viewPad sometime in October.

Titanic Will Be Re-Released In 3D on April 6 2012

James cameron's movie starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, will be rereleased worldwide on April 6,2012.

Yes! The Titanic is sailing back into theaters around the world April 6, 2012 and this time it'll be in digital 3D.

James Cameron's movie is getting rereleased in 3D via Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment. The date was chosen to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the ship setting sail (April 10).

The 3D conversion is being overseen by Cameron -- who wrote, directed and produced the movie -- and James Cameron's movie,
his Lightstorm producing partner Jon Landau, who also produced. "There's a whole generation that's never seen Titanic as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen," Cameron said.

"And this will be Titanic as you've never seen it before, digitally remastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D. With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike." Paramount chairman/CEO Brad Grey noted that the rerelease coincides with the 100th anniversary of the studio, while Fox Filmed Entertainment chairmen/CEOs Jim Gianopulos and Tom Rothman added that Titanic is "one of the greatest sources of pride"in studio history.

Future versions of Google's Android OS will be optimized for Intel's line of Atom processors. Making the mobile OS compatible with Intel's line of chips will be a major foothold for the chipmaker to climb into the mobile scene, a market in which it's been largely absent. Intel also has shown a prototype Intel-based Android tablet, which will be used as a template for device manufacturers.

In an effort to carve out a niche in the burgeoning mobile market, Intel has partnered with Google to optimize future versions of the latter's Android mobile operating system for Intel's Atom line of chips.

The announcement was made by Andy Rubin, Android head honcho and Google senior vice president, on Tuesday at the Intel Developer Forum, which runs in San Francisco through Thursday. Intel CEO Paul Otellini, whose dream has been to push into the mobile arena, said the first Intel-powered Android smartphone will enter the market in early 2012.

Otellini also demonstrated an Intel-powered tablet at IDF on Tuesday. Although Intel focused on smartphones during its announcement, the team-up with Google will also "support our tablet business," Intel spokes person Claudine Mangano said.

The tablet demoed at IDF is a "form factor reference design" based on Intel's 32nm Medfield Atom chip, Mangano said. It was running Android Honeycomb, she added. "From a market dynamics perspective, Google is a must-have partner today," Charles King, principal analyst at Pund-IT.

Focusing first on smartphones is a strategic move because "from a commercial perspective, Android-based phones, which as a group are outselling Apple's iPhone handily, are a better short-term bet," King added.

Google did not respond to requests for comment by press time.

What The Intel-Google Pairing Entails

The agreement calls for Google to optimize future versions of Android for Intel's family of low-power Atom processors. This is aimed at speeding up the time to market of Intel-based smartphones running Android, Intel stated. The deal will let mobile device OEMs and wireless operators use Intel processors and tap into the scale of the x86 developer platform and further drive the adoption of Android, Intel said.

Although the chip giant's focus at this time is on Android, its agreement with Google is not exclusive, Intel's Mangano said. Android and MeeGo, the love child Intel spawned with phonemaker Nokia, which later abandoned the platform, are among the tablet OSes the chip giant will support, Mangano elaborated.

"In May of this year, Fujitsu and NTT demoed Symbian smartphones running on Atom processors, so a Medfield-based Symbian phone may be in the works," Pund-IT's King remarked.

InDroid's Possible Impact on the Mobile Market

Granted, Intel has an army of x86 developers out there. But Android isn't exactly hurting for app devs, and it's growing at a phenomenal rate. Back in June, Google's Rubin tweeted that 500,000 Android devices were being activated daily.

So what exactly does Intel bring to the table? More
opportunities. If handset vendors respond favorably to the Intel-Google pairing, "it could create additional new channels for Android and place additional pressure on Apple," King stated.

The Mobile School of Hard Knocks

Intel's plans to introduce mobile devices based on its processors have been repeatedly delayed. Anand Chandrasekher, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's Ultra Mobility Group, was well-known for appearing at Intel conferences with a prototype mobile device and promising that an Intel- powered smartphone was on the way. However, no such devices materialized.

Chandrasekher reportedly quit his job in March. Intel's plans for the mobile space took a body blow earlier this year when Nokia moved away from Meego, which the two had jointly developed, to focus on a partnership with Microsoft and Windows Phone.

However, Intel's likely to continue doggedly pursuing the mobile market, a high priority for CEO Otellini. During the company's third- quarter earnings call in October, Otellini announced that it would use all the assets at its disposal to win the tablet market, and it would also pursue deals with Android and Microsoft. That could entail partnerships with other OEM manufacturers.

"I expect Intel would be willing to listen to any device vendor or manufacturer interested in Atom," Pund- IT's King said.

Windows 8 Jumps Onto the Metro Line

Microsoft has shown the world a little more of Windows 8, the next version of Redmond's flagship operating system. Certain aspects of Windows 8 will resemble Windows Phone, the company's mobile OS. The
software will also run on x86 devices as well as ones with ARM chips, meaning this next version of Windows is built for desktop, laptop and tablet.

Microsoft inched further toward the tablet world Tuesday by revealing a slew of new details about its upcoming Windows 8 operating system at its Build developers conference, being held in Anaheim, Calif., through Friday.

A Windows 8 start
screen

Windows Division President Steven Sinofsky headlined the presentation, which demoed various aspects of the new operating system. Among other things, Windows 8 will incorporate the Metro-style touch user interface familiar to Windows Phone 7 users.

Also, Metro-style apps built for Windows 8 will be full-screen. Apps will communicate with each other, and Windows Live will sync all content on all a user's devices, which can be accessed from anywhere with any browser or Metro Windows 8 apps.

Finally, the Windows Store will make it easier for devs to sell their apps and for consumers to find and purchase software. Microsoft has also placed a strong emphasis on mobility. All apps developed for Windows 8 will run on both x86 and ARM platforms, for example. In fact, Win 8 will work across devices ranging from 10 inch tablets and laptops to all-in-one products with 27-inch high-definition screens, Microsoft said.

If all this sounds somewhat familiar, it's because Microsoft is in some ways going boldly where Apple has gone before.

"Microsoft has been imitating Apple for a long time, and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," Laura DiDio, principal at ITIC.

However, Redmond has come up with a few winkles of its own for Windows 8. For one thing, the new OS will be backwards compatible with Windows 7, so it will run all existing Windows 7 applications, Microsoft's Sinofsky announced.

Further, the learning curve for devs is slight, if it's at all present -- devs can leverage their knowledge of C # and other existing Microsoft app development languages to create Windows 8 Metro apps, Sinofsky said.

Some Further Details About Win 8

Windows 8 has a new set of application programming interfaces and tools to build Metro apps that are "very rich in immersive experience" and enable rapid development, Sinofsky said. Microsoft has focused strongly on layouts.

Metro-style applications will run across all Win 8 devices, and those that are built with JavaScript, C #, XAML or HTML 5 "will run on ARM chips," Sinofsky announced.

Windows 8 has "a whole range of protection through antimalware and antivirus" built in, and Windows 8 PCs will be both more secure and faster than those running previous versions of Windows, Sinofsky declared.

Microsoft will ensure that there's no OS scope creep with Windows 8, as critics said occurred with previous versions of the operating system.

"We're not building layers and layers, we built everything natively into Windows," Sinofsky stated. Starting Tuesday night, developers will be able to download both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows 8 official dev preview without developer tools, and a 64-bit version with developer tools. The download can be found here. However, these are not the gold versions of the OS.

A Windows 8 interface for typing on a tablet using one's thumbs

The improvements in the OS and the other new features, such as touch capability, are "exactly what Microsoft has to do," ITIC's DiDio said.

"Microsoft has to convince people that the Windows platform is evolving to address the need of the 21st century digital network, and that the operating system can work on both a traditional PC or notebook, as well as new devices such as smartphones and tablets," DiDio explained.

AT&T Plans Mango Feast

Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system barely has a toehold in the smartphone market, but AT&T is moving to change that with the announcement of three new handsets running the latest WinPho
version, dubbed "Mango," as well as upgrades to Mango for existing WinPhone devices. That might just keep Windows Phone on the radar until Nokia unleashes its expected slew of new products.

AT&T (NYSE: T) announced on Monday that it would add three new 4G smartphones running Windows Phone 7.5, aka "Mango," in the fourth quarter.

It also pledged to update existing WinPho7 devices to Mango this fall. The three new devices are the HTC Titan, with a 4.7- inch screen; the Samsung Focus S, with a 4.3-inch display; and the Samsung
Focus Flash, with a 3.7-inch screen.

HTC Titan

The announcement could be seen as AT&T's attempt to keep its Windows Phone operating system afloat until it gets a hoped-for boost next year, when Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) expected marketing push is expected to kick in.

"How I see this playing out is you want to keep Windows Phone 7 viable in the market," Ramon Llamas, a senior research analyst at IDC, told TechNewsWorld.

"Windows Phone 7 has got more apps than it used to,"
Michael Morgan, a senior research analyst at ABI Research, told TechNewsWorld. "It's now got the upgrade to Mango. People do enjoy using the user interface and, so long as the devices come out and execute properly, it should be able to remain on life support until we see what
happens when Nokia finally puts all its cards behind the Windows Phone 7 devices and launches that huge marketing push it promised."

Alternatively, the focus on 4G could actually help Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) stay ahead of the market until Nokia's support kicks in.

"It's important for Windows Phone 7 to be on the leading edge in order to capture market share," Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group, pointed out.
"4G is the next-generation network, and the vast majority of the smartphones in the market are 3G, so it looks like Microsoft will be ahead of the market," he told.

The Samsung Focus S, one of the three new 4G phones AT&T has announced, leverages the success of its predecessor, the Samsung Focus, which AT&T claims is the highest-selling Windows Phone 7 smartphone in the
United States.
This device has a 4.3-inch Super Amoled Plus display, a 1.4 GHz processor, and the
standard front- and rear-facing cameras.

The other 4G smartphone that AT&T announced in its coming lineup is the Samsung Focus Flash.

This appears to be a device for the budget-minded,
based on AT&T's description. It will have a 3.7-inch Super Amoled screen; a 1.4 GHz
processor; and the standard front- and rear-facing cameras.
The HTC Titan has a 4.7- inch display -- more than 30
percent larger than the 3.5- inch screen of the iPhone 4. HTC began conducting focus group evaluations in London, Paris, Madrid and Berlin for the Titan and
another Mango smartphone, the Radar, earlier this month. The Titan has the standard
front and rear cameras. It also has a dedicated hardware camera button. This lets users take photographs without unlocking the phones. It comes with the HTC Watch video service, which provides access to the latest premium movies and TV shows.

The Titan also offers access to Microsoft's Zune music service, and lets owners access Microsoft Xbox Live in addition to the usual social networking services.

!!!4G Trials Begin In INDIA!!!

Qualcomm have successfully tested a dongle which works on existing 3G, GSM and CDMA networks, apart from the newer LTE (4G) TDD and FDD networks. Other operators are also Aircel, Huawei and conducting trials.

Operators are preparing to launch 4G networks, which will bring down the cost and will work at higher speeds.

The reason for the low cost of 4G networks is two-fold:

1.) it will be able to use existing network infrastructure with slight modifications; and

2.) spectrum for 4G network was licensed to operators at a much lower cost (AS WE EXPECTED) compared to 3G network.

LTE can bring speeds of up to 100 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload, while WiMAX, which is currently being used to connect rural Indian villages, delivers
40 Mbps download
speeds.

While Reliance bagged circles spectrum in all 22
circles, Airtel got licences for four circles, Aircel for eight, Tikona in five circles, and Qualcomm (which is in the market to promote LTE) also bagged spectrum in four.

Tips on a slow PC by GOALJAY

Here are our tips regarding the causes for a slow PC –
we can give you this data based on our unique Reimage technology that has repaired more than 100,000 PCs to date. Hope it helps.

1. There is no hamster that grows tired in your PC. Your PC was fast when you bought and there is no reason it should slow down
over time.

2. Usually a slow PC is a result of too many programs that slow it down.

3. Sometimes the user should consider what they want: a protected, slow, PC with an anti virus OR a PC with no AV that runs faster.
The likelihood the user will get angry at a dysfunctional
PC more than the chance of getting a virus.

4. Some programs use your systems resources, but don’t serve the users’ interest. For example, Skype
hosts third party call on your PC.

5. Sometimes online advertises will want to show
you such nice ads that it will cause your PC to crash due to graphic processors overload.

6. Users that install too many applications that run at the same time will cause an
overload. (Each time you install a toolbar it consumes system resources).

7. Some of the software installed can be fighting over the same resources and cause conflict between one another and crashes.

8. Microsoft updates can be

ATM Pin Numbers Can be Stolen using Thermal Cameras

Thieves using thermal imaging cameras can "read" finger heat off of ATM keypads.

A research team from the University of California has discovered that thieves can use thermal cameras to "read" PIN numbers off ATM keypads. The team presented their findings at the USENIX Security Symposium in San Francisco last month and their paper "Heat of the Moment: Characterizing the Ef?
cacy ofThermal Camera-Based Attacks" has been made available on the university web site.

How Thermal Cameras Can Read PIN Numbers

Thermal cameras work by using infrared technology to read the temperature of objects in the near vicinity ofthe camera; different objects are shown in different colors based on their temperature. Pointing such a camera at an ATM keypad directly after being used by someone else can reveal trace amounts of body heat left behind by fingers punching in PIN numbers. The heat left behind is compounded by the oil in fingerprints, making it even easier to discern exactly which numbers were pressed.

DIFFRENCE BETWEEN Free &Bought Virus Removal Software

It's important today for PC users to find out how to get rid of viruses and be designed with a fantastic anti-virus program.

The increased variety of freeware anti-virus softwarehas allowed the home user to try different programs and judge from their website, leaving the expensive commercial software with a low demand.

Often, freeware software offers the user with all the basic protection that's needed to have their PC safe.
This generally makes all the user think, "Why do I need to buy commercial software, rather use the freeones available all over the internet?"
One reason is always that freeware lacks some very innovative and useful features, available exclusively in commercial software. Features like spyware and adware removers, the lack of which could cause slow system activity and annoying pop-ups.

There is no Free Launch!

Freeware anti-viruses are attractive when you have them cost-free. But, this same feeling reverts to hate when this same free software leads to a new virus to infect your computer.
Sure they may be free and also have no license fee, sure they protect your system, but to alimit. New viruses are launched everyday, variations to old viruses come out on a daily basis, and freeware software will only recognize those threats which are already accessible in its existing virus database. Some freeware are even missing the update option and there's no way their virus definitions might be updated!

Commercial antivirus software programs are furnished with modern-day technology called behavioral-based detection. This technology allows the virus database to distinguish malicious activity depending on identified virus patterns for sale in its database, providing 99% safety in user activity, as compared to freeware.
The majority of freeware is based on the old detection technology , which only identifies threats which can be already available in its available virus definition database.

It does not take priorities and preferences of the user that decide what amount of security they demand because of their PC. A freeware user would feel safe until these people experience a mind-boggling virus infection.
A commercial software user will usually be at peace, ever since the highly technical and updated software will give you a total security solution and just interrupt the user if this requires an update. In the technology industry, "You are more affordable. It might end up being higher priced once you should replace yourcomputer as it was destroyed by viruses.
